Coach Rob Genet

Rob's journey is nothing short of extraordinary. A United States Marine Corps veteran with a background in open water rescue and Marine Recon training, he later delved into private security, specializing in nightclub protection. As a service-connected disabled veteran, Rob's journey took him through extensive training in various martial arts disciplines.

His martial arts adventure began with Coach Angel Ortiz, a Latin gloves champion boxer and a full Sifu under Dan Inosanto. Rob's training covered boxing, Muay Thai, JKD, and Kali. His journey continued in Texas, where he earned his blue belt under Carlos Machado and a purple belt from Henrique Rossi of Sharpen Iron Academy.

Rob holds a USA Boxing Level 1 certification with Safe Sport clearance and has a professional fighting background. He's coached MMA and BJJ fighters, bringing a unique blend of expertise in strength and conditioning from his time at Pitbull Barbell and Pitbull Barbell Muay Thai & Boxing.

Currently mentored under Wilson Machado for private security, personal protection, and marksmanship, Rob's reality-based hand-to-hand combat experience makes him an excellent addition to our team.
