About

Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Andre Gomes began his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey in 2002 at the age of 14. With over 20 years of experience on the mats, he has built a career defined by technical excellence, leadership, and international recognition.

Andre spent four years living in Dubai, where he coached the United Arab Emirates Army. During this time, he gained high-level experience training military personnel and refined a disciplined, results-driven coaching methodology.

In 2018, he moved to the United States to continue expanding his career as both a competitor and instructor. In 2021, Andre opened his own academy in Texas alongside his partner, Gary.

Today, he serves as the Head Coach at Carlson Gracie Lewisville, where he continues to earn titles as an active competitor while building a strong, disciplined, and competitive Jiu-Jitsu team.

Andre Gomes is recognized not only for his achievements on the mat, but for his commitment to developing confident students, high-level competitors, and a culture rooted in respect, consistency, and excellence.

Professor Lucas Garcia is a First Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu who has proven himself on the world stage as an IBJJF medalist, earning podium finishes at both the World Championships and the American National Championships.

His dedication to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and his commitment to helping others grow make him a valuable asset to our coaching team. Known for his technical precision and dynamic style, Lucas specializes in Berimbolo, triangle choke, straight ankle lock, lasso guard, and De La Riva guard.

His deep understanding of these positions allows students to develop both strong offensive and defensive skills, building a versatile and adaptable game.

Now based in Frisco, Texas, Lucas is passionate about sharing his knowledge with students of all levels. His teaching emphasizes discipline, technical excellence, and a competitive mindset, inspiring students to perform at their best both on and off the mats.

PROFESSOR GABRIELE SCHUCK

First Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Originally from Criciúma, Santa Catarina, Brazil, Gabriele Schuck began training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the age of 13. What started as a way to stay active, build confidence, and learn self-defense quickly evolved into a lifelong passion and professional career.

Throughout her journey, Gabriele has traveled to over 15 countries through Jiu-Jitsu, competing at the highest level while sharing her knowledge as both an athlete and instructor.

She is currently part of the coaching staff at Carlson Gracie DFW, where she teaches women’s and kids’ classes.

Her mission is to help women develop confidence, self-belief, and personal safety in a welcoming and supportive environment where everyone feels comfortable to grow. In her kids’ classes, she emphasizes discipline, respect, confidence, and a genuine love for Jiu-Jitsu from an early age.
